Sabre and Smith are representing Suzuki-Gun. Banks is one of the fastest rising stars in the UK scene after a tremendous performance in Orlando and then winning PROGRESS’s big 16 man tournament a week earlier. Some mat wrestling until Banks and Sabre just start hitting each other really f’ing hard. This leads to some double teaming by CCK. Heat segment on Brookes as they focus on his leg. Hot tag to Banks as he begins to roll over Sabre and Smith. Eventually chaps ensues as all four battle. Brookes is still hurt and Sabre applies an octopus. Sabre hits a series of uppercuts. Banks comes out of the corner hard with a lariat. Back comes Brookes. F-5 on Sabre. Assisted codebreaker into the senton. Smith makes the save. Smith carries Banks to the back.  Sabre gets two after a Penalty kick. I don’t get why Smith and Banks just flat-out disappeared. I can understand these two going at it for a minute or two, but this almost turns into a mini-singles match. Brookes applies a double standing armbar. Sabre gives up.

This functioned as a formula tag match and not much else. There were clear heel and face dynamics at the very least, but Banks was the only one bringing a sense of urgency to the match. He’s a guy who is absolutely going to be star on the British indies and eventually WWE. If nothing else, Brookes got a big moment to shine as he made Sabre submit clean. Logic would dicate RPW does a rematch soon for the RPW Heavyweight championship. Very entertaining and watchable main event, particularly in the second half.

Winner (s)/Rating: CCK/***
