Style Battle 5 Quarterfinal: Jimmy Lloyd vs. Joey Janela (Style Battle 5- June 16, 2017)

This is a huge WWN debut for…not Jimmy Lloyd. Come on. It’s Joey Janela. He’s one of the best self-promoters in all of indie wrestling. I give him all the credit in the world for being innovative in marketing himself better than 99.5% of the wrestlers out there. They start out with a chop exchange. Lloyd is kind of a generic big guy. Tiger driver early and Janela exits outside. Flapjack into the steps but Lloyd accidentally dives into the stairs. Back inside as Janela rakes the eyes. Lloyd almost drops Janela on a blue thunder powerbomb. Dive to the outside and a jumping acecrusher back inside. Double stomp met with knees. Back and forth with various moves and strikes. Lloyd hits a sunset bomb. Janela hits a double stomp and gets three. An all right match mostly carried by Janela. Lloyd didn’t exactly show much movewise or from a character perspective.

Winner (s)/Rating: Joey Janela/**
